A communication from Ahnume Guerios, the son of Carlos Roberto
Guerios in Brazil suggests that according to the genealogy institute of Europe,
the name Gharios or Guerios comes from the French Family Gueriot who contributed
several Knights for the Crusade.
The Crest of the Gueriot family is shown on the image to the right.
Could it be possible that the name was used for the followers of one of
these knights?
